Space Availability - AARP Tax Preparation

AARP Tax Aid provides tax return assistance, free of charge, with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low-to-moderate income. Tax Aid volunteers are trained and IRS-certified every year. Tax Aid volunteers will be at the Library on Mondays and Saturdays through April 13 to assist those who've made an appointment.

To guarantee an AARP Tax Aid appointment, you must:

  1. Make on online appointment (below) in advance to reserve a spot.
  2. Print or pick up Form 13614-C at the front desk or drive-up window.
  3. Complete Form 13614-C before your appointment.

Bring the following to your appointment:

  • Government issued photo ID and Social Security card
  • Prior year's tax return
  • Documents needed to complete your taxes (see the list attached to your form for examples)
  • Banking information (routing and account number for direct deposit)
  • A completed Form 13614-C Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet (available at the Library's front desk and pick-up window, or PRINT HERE)

All appointments are at the Bedford Public Library at 2424 Forest Ridge Drive, and may be canceled by AARP or the Library due to extenuating circumstances.

To cancel your appointment, click the cancelation link in the AARP Booking Confirmation email you received after completing the booking process. Check your Spam or Junk mail if you can't find it.
